Evaluation of the Thermofluidic Performance of Climatic Chambers: Numerical and Experimental Studies

Climatic chambers are highly important in research and industrial applications used to examine manufactured samples, specimens, or components controlled environment conditions. Despite the growing demand for climatic chambers, only a few published studies have specifically concentrated on performance analysis functional improvements through numerical experimental studies. In this study, 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of chamber was developed using Ansys Fluent simulate flow, heat, mass transfer obtain velocity, temperature, relative humidity fields interior box 1200 L chamber. The results were then validated with data from prototype. Finally, heat losses surrounding calculated, relationship between inside temperature overall thermal loss modelled. This provides possibility optimising climate by reducing walls modifying air flow pattern
